Traditional IRA
With a traditional IRA, contributions may be tax deductible. Your earnings are tax deferred until you begin withdrawing funds, as early as age 59½.
Roth IRA
Unlike a traditional IRA, your contributions to a Roth IRA are not tax deductible. However, your earnings are tax-free when you begin making withdrawals.
