Money Market Accounts
Money Market Accounts provide a high savings rate plus limited check writing ability. With a Newtown Savings Bank Money Market Account you'll have unlimited transactions at our branches and at ATMs. In addition, you can write up to 3 checks per month, and have unlimited deposit capability through direct deposit and telephone banking.
Basic Money Market Account
Earn interest if you maintain an account balance of $20 or more. If your balance is $1,000 or more, we'll also waive the $7 monthly fee.
Tiered Money Market Account
If you maintain a minimum of $5,000, there is no monthly fee and the account pays interest. Your interest rate increases if you maintain balances greater than $25,000, $50,000 and $100,000. If the balance drops below $5,000, the account pays no interest and incurs a $25 monthly fee. If you maintain less than a $5,000 Money Market Account balance, we recommend a Basic Money Market Account.
